We now have collision detection in our game. The player can actually exit through exit doors, die by enemies, and so forth. We pretty much have all the coding done, we just need to fix the glitches in it. So after we finish the artwork and get the coding perfected, we will have our game finished. Its going to be awesome. Platforms
We are moving along very fast with all of our coding thanks to our smart team. We now have it where the character can jump on the platforms. It still has its little glitches in it though, such as the fact that the player gets stuck in the platforms. I can't complain, we will get these mess ups fixed in time. Bye.
Scrolling Background
Sweet!!! Finally we have got a major problem out of the way. I'm the one making the art for our game so that means I would like to make longer screens for the levels, but to do that we needed a scrolling background. Well one of the members of our team found the codes for a scrolling background, so now when you play our game you will get to enjoy all the big environments created by me. It's going to be very awesome. That's it for now, bye.
Coded Enemies
We have finally found codes that gets our enemies to move around. The enemies can move around but can do no damage. They will eventually be able to cause a threat to the player. As of right now they are harmless. That's all for the moment, bye.
Running and Jumping
OK we have now got our character to run and jump. He doesn't fly all over the place any more which is a good thing. It still could do with a little more editing though. At least its not as bad as before, our player is capable of coming back to the ground instead of staying in mid air after he jumps. Well bye for now.
Preloader
We have finished our preloaders. Its a toxic waste barrel that has green slime pouring out of it. As the game loads, the slime runs out more. It could with a little more artistic details. As of right now the preloader isn't doing anything due to the fact that we don't have the game finished and there's nothing to load. It should be working fine when our game is put together. Programming Practices
We recently did the programming practices topic. It was mainly just practice to get our skills better. Not much of it was anything new. We pretty much learned almost all of it sometime in the past. Some of it though was good to remember because its very helpful in our game. Well I really cant say anything else, so I guess that's all for now.
Action Scripting
We did the intro to action script. Script assist pretty much has its own library of scripts. Its nothing major, it just has the basic movements and functions. You can go in the library and mess around with codes to make it how you want things to work. Its really hard to work with codes to get it exactly how you want things to turn out. Well theres not really much more to say, so bye.
